NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
At Batemans Bay Public School SRE is delivered on Tuesday afternoons. For K-2 it is delivered from 1:40-2:10 and for years 3-6 it is delievered from 2:10-2:40.
On enrolment parents/carers will be given the SRE and participation letter to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE should be given to classroom teachers who need to pass it on to Kelli in the office. This needs to be in writing.
At Batemans Bay Public School, the Christian SRE are the umbrella organisation for our SRE providers. Please see the attached letter for more information about each church or denomination.
SRE follows for Godspace curriculum which can be found at http://www.godspace.org.au
During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will participate in meaningful activities such as reading or art.
